Dear Tired, Overwhelmed, And Peri/Menopausal Ladies,

It was like I turned 40 and my body forgot how to build muscle and burn fat. I couldn't even look at a cookie with out putting on 5 lbs. Then, when I would do my usual tricks: eat "clean", workout, drink lots of water to lose the weight, it just wouldn't work. Here is the most frustrating thing, I knew better.  I am a fitness professional who is now struggling with this 15 lbs that fell on my body overnight. How could I lead the ladies in my community if I am not able to do it.  It took me some time to get to the bottom of what was going on. To understand that I had entered into peri/menopause at the ripe ole' age of 38 and my hormones we in decline, my adrenals were fried and I couldn't train the way I used to and get those results.

Where do you start when you feel so down?

My journey of regaining my health began with learning more about what it truly meant to go through peri/menopause. Then I found the one thing that would change all things, Strength Training. Good bye HIIT, I no longer was looking to just be tired from a workout, I wanted results. When I started to lift heavier weights I felt amazing . I gain muscle quicker, which made me want to eat better. When I ate better I felt less agitated and noticed my relationships improve. Strength Training became my game changer.

My name is Cheryl Moore and I own Cheryl Moore Coaching (formerly HIIT30KV) in Quispamsis. I work specifically with women in perimenopause and menopause who have put themselves last for years and are ready to take self care to a whole new level.

Motion is lotion, physical movement will change your mood and set you up for more success in all areas of your life. 
I believe women can thrive through peri/menopause when they are taught to slow down, eat real food, honour their bodies at this stage of life and truly tap into their own personal power. 

I am a certified Personal and Group Fitness Trainer, Level 1 Boxing Coach, Precision Nutrition Expert and Culinary Nutrition Expert, specializing in GI and Digestive Health, Women health advocate, speaker and food lover.

"WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU COULD NOT FAIL ... this is where it all started ... Cheryl Lynn Moore challenged us to dig deep and consider this and what it might mean for each of us ... for me one item high on the list was to complete the Port City Challenge as part of Marathon by the Sea weekend ... was a daunting consideration - and a very lofty goal - certainly way outside the comfort zone ... 3 races over 3 days ... consulted my running buddies for a sanity check ... and without hardly any hesitation Celeste Reid McPherson hopped on my crazy train .... this morning we completed that challenge .... I am so incredibly proud of us ... WE DID IT!
